Shandon Clinic is an independent clinical research centre (CRO) based in Cork, Ireland. After foundation as a clinical pharmacology unit in 1990, our services now reflect a broad range of expertise.

Shandon Clinic has a total of 18 beds. We currently perform between 20 and 30 clinical studies on site each year.

Our highly qualified staff consists of a truly international blend of Irish, South African, American, Australian and Scottish clinical scientists, several of whom have worked at Shandon Clinic since its inception. Our physicians, registered nurses, technicians and quality assurance personnel have many years experience in the conduct of clinical trials to GCP in accordance with ICH, European and FDA guidelines.

Our clients include small and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies, as well as a number of large multinationals. As a small organisation, we offer breadth of experience, a high degree of flexibility, and the personal attention of senior members of staff to all projects. Our high personnel retention rate adds to the smooth running of studies.
